That September Day

From the Gray Falcon archives:
"I remember that Tuesday morning the way I remember much of the Bosnian War: in vivid detail. The confusion, the shock, the horror of the burning and crumbling towers, the pillar of black smoke coming from the Pentagon. But the world didn't stop turning. And nothing actually changed that day."

Actually, things did change that day.

The Empire seized the opportunity (after creating it) to make a quantum leap forward in the global police state and justified all of their criminal actions as "fighting against terrorism" - thus, replacing the Cold War and fear of Soviets to justify massive military spending and crackdowna on the civil rights of American citizens, from now on.

I do get your point (I think) that the methods and goals of the globalist Empire are the same, but there has been a drastic change for the worse in their arrogance and hubris in believing that they are justified in doing any level of war crimes and genocide.

Now it is not just in Yugoslavia, Chile, East Timor and Cambodia, but anywhere and anytime they choose, for any reason - or no reason at all.

Maybe this is only a question of semantics, and I think we agree in the sense that "The more things change, the more they remain the same."

Well, I did note in the original text (down at the end) that somethings have changed, and for the worse.

Bushites used "pre-emptive defense" as their excuse, Obama's Clinton Restoration uses "preventing genocides anywhere", but whatever the flavor of the excuse, the substance is the same, no?
